The governmental units who represent residents in Special Service Area #1 have come out strongly in opposition of the sale of this utility.

Hopefully this will send a message to our friends on the County Board that we would like them not to sell this entity to Illinois American Water or any other organization for that matter.

On August 12, 2026, the Board of Trustees of the Pontoon Beach Public Water District joined the Village of Pontoon Beach, Chouteau Township and Nameoki Township in approving a resolution opposing the sale of the Special Service Area #1 to Illinois American Water. The Pontoon Beach Public Water District Board approved this resolution unanimously, the Board believes that the small water districts and small sewer district serves our residents well and selling to a large corporation would not benefit our customers.

Took fewer pics last night than before, but a great crowd and show none the less!

Thanks to everyone who came out and had a good time and who also were very well behaved!

Huge thanks to Mayor Pagano and to my fellow trustees, particularly Kelly Rogers, Terry Kreher and Steve Freeze who do much more of the literal heavy lifting than I do. Linda McFarland, Christie Vivod and Harlon Keel round out our great team, thanks to you guys as well.

To all the other volunteers behind the scenes, thank you as well... Really too many to name, but Miranda Rogers and Allen Williams are two that I know bust their tails to help us each year. Thank you!

To Chief Mo and the fantastic PB PD...we appreciate all you do to keep us all safe! Thank you as well..

I suspect we will do this again, huh? 🤔 See you soon!

A few pics from night one of Party at the Beach 2026.

Ashley McBryde was our headliner and put on a great show!

Prior to her taking the stage, several of our board members took the stage to honor Mayor Pagano for the vision to begin this great festival and for his 28 years of service to our village, in this his final term as mayor.

Hope to see a packed house tonight for Rodney Atkins!

Party at the Beach is 1 week away!!

Long Lake Firefighters will be selling cold beer for $4 Friday and Saturday night.

We start selling at 4pm each night.

The headliner for Friday night will be country music star Ashley Mcbryde.

The headliner for Saturday night will be country music star Rodney Atkins.

We hope to see everyone out there on August 7th & 8th! It is going to be a great time!
