Their investment strengthens our mission to support young adults aging out of foster care and reminds our youth that their futures are worthy of investment, opportunity, and advocacy.

If these doors could talk…

For nearly eight years, the doors of Gilliard and Company have held some of the hardest conversations imaginable.

Young adults have walked into these rooms carrying fear, uncertainty, heartbreak, and sometimes no words at all. We listened. We sat in the silence. We stayed.

But our favorite part is how different the conversations sound later.

“I got the job.”
“I got my apartment.”
“I’m doing good.”
“I just wanted to come by and see you.”

Even after leaving our program, our young adults still come back to visit, and that may be one of the greatest measures of our impact.

Your donations help keep these doors open, so the next young person has a safe place to walk into, be heard, and begin again.

We're proud to support our nonprofit partner, Suns Up Counseling Center as they prepare for their 2026 Golden Gala on October 2, 2026 at Cohen's Retreat in Savannah.

This year's theme, Everyday Resilience, celebrates the strength found in our communities and the importance of making quality mental health care accessible to everyone.

The evening will feature:

🏆 Recognition of Heather Burge, founder of Restore Collective, as the 2026 Resilient Woman of the Year

Last year's Golden Gala helped provide 70 local counseling scholarships, open a new counseling office in Rincon, and support Suns Up Counseling's feeding program in Haiti. Your participation this year will help continue that incredible impact.

We're honored to help spread the word about "Voices," a special episode in The F Word: America's Foster Care Crisis series by Comfort Cases

This episode moves beyond the traditional interview format to highlight the real experiences of people whose lives have been touched by foster care.

If you are a foster parent, youth in the foster care system, someone who has aged out, or anyone with firsthand experience, you're invited to share your story through a short video or audio submission.

By sharing your experience, you can help raise awareness, inspire understanding, and make a difference for others.
