Poolesville Day Grand Marshal nominations are now open! Know a person or an organization who goes above and beyond to contribute to the Poolesville area? Nominate them using the link below!

When nominating, please describe a specific act or acts (personal or civic) of outstanding service which has been generally recognized as placing the individual or group in a category well above others for sustained and distinguished service and commitment to the town of Poolesville and its surrounding areas.

Nominations are open until July 29th, after which they’ll be reviewed by the Poolesville Day Committee. We look forward to seeing all the deserving candidates!

To all who came out today, THANK YOU. You put on rain boots and ponchos and smiles, and you made the day great. You cheered at the parade, listened to the band, shopped with vendors, ate good food, and took in all the Poolesville Day attractions. The rain let up, the wind held off, and it was FUN. It was so cool to be part of this “we’re all in it together” spirit, which makes this town so special.

It was certainly not the weather we had hoped for, but thank you for making the best of it. Poolesville Day takes a year to plan, and with so many moving parts, cannot just be changed to another date. We’re so glad we got to have a shortened day rather than no Poolesville Day at all. Thanks to all of you who still showed up to make this day a success.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The parade is still on, but vendors can start breaking down at 11:00 and Poolesville Day will end at noon. Despite our best efforts, today will be a shortened celebration.

All vendors are invited to free booth space at Firehouse on October 8th for a market event. More details to follow.

Only TEN days to go! Time to start making those Poolesville Day plans! Parking is available at the Western County Pool and the Our Lady of Presentation Church with a FREE Electric shuttle bus running between the two. The shuttle is an easy way to get from one end of town to the other to get to all the day’s attractions and it’s even air conditioned!
