🥵 Take the heat seriously. Unseasonably hot temperatures are expected this entire week with highs near 100 degrees and heat index values in the triple digits. The abundant sunshine and warm nighttime lows will create a prolonged period of dangerous heat through at least Friday. Drink plenty of water and head inside promptly to cool down if you start feeling overheated.

🔥 Heat index values are forecast to reach 100-109 degrees for portions of the area each afternoon today through Wednesday.

‼️ The greatest confidence in dangerous heat exists between the I-70 and I-44 corridors, where an Extreme Heat Warning is now in effect.

🥵 Uncertainty surrounds exactly how hot/humid it will be, but the worst conditions will exist in metropolitan areas where urban heat island effects are strongest.
