WE HAD A BLAST at Doniphan High School today with the ! 🍽

Four teams went head-to-head in a timed cooking competition using their provided MRE “ingredients” (Chicken Burrito Bowl & Southwest Beef & Beans) and the two mystery ingredients: classic peeps & vanilla pudding!

The final products were:

- Team 1: Mexican Dip & Bread Pudding
- Team 2: Burrito & Square
- Team 3: Military Buffet
- Team 4: Mix It Up Cookies

“Heaven’s Kitchen” (Team 3) beat out their competition & won bragging rights as the latest team to hoist up the ! 🏆🥇Excellent work!

Honorable mention goes to Team 2 for their “Square!” The judges (particularly SFC Parkin) kept raving about how awesome it was!

HUGE THANK YOU to Mrs. Hodo for allowing us to come out and have some fun in the kitchen today!

On Friday, we got to recognize some Royalty!

Twin Rivers High School officially took over as our school with the highest percentage of students who took the this year to score 50+!

SEVENTEEN (40% of the students tested) buckled down and put in maximum effort on the assessment!

Excellent work Royals! Thank you to Mrs. Whitlow for allowing us to come out and celebrate their accomplishments!

WHAT A DAY!!!!!

We’d like to give a special shout-out to our Team Leader SFC Parkin. He and Mr. J. Berry of JAG-Missouri have talked about how cool a Guard Day for JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) students would be for years!

Today, that idea came to fruition and it was so much more than what they ever initially thought it could be!

We hosted over 260 local high school students in grades 10-12 in a day filled with hands-on activities, informational breakout sessions, a friendly PT competition, photo-op, and even a VIP visit from the state’s First Lady Teresa Parson!

We can’t thank everyone who assisted or supported this event enough! It was awesome and we hope it was just the first of many Guard JAG Days to come!

HUGE thank you to Mr. Berry for coordinating with all of the participating schools and our VIPs! We couldn’t have done this without your help!

Well done, SFC Parkin! Your hard work, coordination of numerous moving pieces, and attention to detail made this event a huge success and allowed it to run seamlessly!

Yesterday afternoon, we had the pleasure of discussing ASVAB scores and the Career Exploration Program to the !

Fun Fact: Naylor has the HIGHEST percentage of students who tested and scored 50+ on their test out of all high schools assigned to SSG McGuire!

They were excellent participants and asked great questions! We're so glad we could come out, talk about their futures and recognize their hard work! We're proud of them all!
