Hello to all and welcome to my page on my Homestead! This page is to show how this Homestead progresses and items and ideas used to create my new home. There is room for improvements on the things I do and suggestions are highly encouraged! Please be aware, that while I do go to town once a month or so to get some groceries, I do try and live off the land as well, so there will be pictures and blo

gs about harvesting wild game and preparation for meals etc. Predator control will be a main focus in the fall and winter. So please if you are offended by the harvest of wild game or the butchering of farm raised animals, please move along, I am not looking for trouble but I will not tolerate groups who will attack the basic means of obtaining sustenance for living. Good afternoon! Well it has been a little while since I have posted anything, but today I went on a hike looking for morels and roots to dig. No morel's but I did find lots and lots of may apple to dig! For the first time ever I found the NW corner of my property and man was it a chore to get back to it through the brush! Here are some cool pics I got with cell phone as my main camera needs a new battery so sorry for the poorness of the pics! Welcome to the Missouri brush lol!

Good evening! Well the Derksen building will be on its way out soon and the sooner the better as it is horribly made. Damage and black mold and I just cant seem to get well so yup its gone. Enter now the new building I will be furbishing and living in for the next three to five years as I save to build a proper cabin. At least this ole man wont be getting wet in the spring rains heheh

Good evening! Well another gorgeous semi spring day here, little windy but over all not too bad. Now I have been hearing something I was not too sure of what it was of late but figured it out this evening when I near stepped on one these lil guys lol. So without further boring chit chat from me let me introduce you to the Timberdoodle! Only once or twice while growing up in Rural Oklahoma did I ever see one of these, but, they sure are thick here on my place!
