One of the best parts of EMS Week was getting invited to the library to read to some amazing kiddos! 📚🚑💛

We loved sharing stories, answering questions, and showing the kids that first responders are here to help, care, and serve our community every day. Thank you to the library staff for having us and to all the little readers who made our day so special!

Who knows… we may have met a few future EMTs and Paramedics. 😉

Some people count years.
We count calls, sleepless nights, hard lessons, and lives changed. 💙

This EMS Week, we’re recognizing the veteran EMTs, A-EMTs, and Paramedics of Butler County EMS. The ones who paved the way, taught the next generation, and continue to lead from the front.

They’ve worked the wrecks, the codes, the storms, the transfers, the holidays, and the moments most people never see.

Through every siren, every sacrifice, and every tough shift… they still answer the call.

To our veterans in EMS:
Thank you for your dedication.
Thank you for your grit.
Thank you for never giving up on this community.

Your experience can’t be taught in a textbook and Butler County EMS is stronger because of you.

💚 EMS Week Spotlight: The “Green EMTs” 💚

To the brand new EMTs still learning the streets, second guessing themselves after calls, and replaying every patient interaction in their head… this one is for you.

Every seasoned medic, every confident EMT, every calm voice on scene was once exactly where you are right now.

You’re going to forget where things are.
You’re going to miss IVs.
You’re going to stumble over radio traffic.
You’re going to leave work wondering if you did enough.

And one day… without even realizing it… you’ll become the person calming down the next “green EMT.”

This job will challenge you in ways school never could. It will humble you, break your heart sometimes, and also give you moments you’ll carry forever. The first time you truly help someone. The first hand you hold during someone’s worst day. The first patient who looks at you like you hung the moon just because you showed up.

Never let embarrassment stop you from asking questions.
Never let one bad call define your future.
And never forget: compassion matters just as much as skill.

The fact that you care so much already means you belong here.

So during EMS Week, we celebrate the newbies too.
The nervous ones.
The eager ones.
The ones checking the truck three times.
The ones studying on lunch breaks.
The ones trying their absolute best.

We see you.
We believe in you.
And we’re proud of you. 🚑💚

This EMS Week, we want to recognize the moms and dads behind the uniform. 💛🚑

The ones who miss birthdays, holidays, bedtime stories, ballgames, and family dinners because someone else needed help. The ones who leave home in the middle of the night, work long shifts, and still come back ready to be mom or dad when the boots come off.

Thank you for making sacrifices your families may never fully understand. Your children watch you serve others with compassion, strength, and courage every single day and that matters more than you know.

To all the EMS parents at Butler County EMS: thank you for answering the call both at work and at home. We appreciate you this week and every week.
