It is with great sadness that the Poplar Bluff Housing Authority shares the passing of our longtime former Executive Director, Mr. Kenneth King

For 30 years, Mr. King dedicated his career to PBHA and to serving the families and community of Poplar Bluff. Three decades of leadership and service left a lasting mark on our organization and on the many people whose lives he touched along the way.

Those of us who had the privilege of knowing and working with Mr. King will remember not only his years of leadership, but also the commitment he showed to PBHA, our residents, our employees, and our community.

We are grateful for Mr. King’s many years of service and for the foundation he helped build for PBHA. His legacy will remain an important part of our history.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Mr. King’s family, friends, former colleagues, and all who knew and loved him.

We are honored to share Mr. King’s obituary and to remember a life of dedicated service.

National Night Out 2026 is in the Books!🎉

What an incredible evening of community, connection, and fun! On behalf of the Poplar Bluff Housing Authority, we would like to extend our heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make National Night Out 2026 such a tremendous success.

A special thank you to our community partners, vendors, sponsors, first responders, volunteers, and The Bread Shed for your generosity, support, and grilling hot dogs. Your participation helped create an unforgettable event for hundreds of families.

Thank you to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, Poplar Bluff Fire Department, Butler County EMS, and all of our local organizations who took the time to engage with residents and strengthen community relationships.

Most importantly, THANK YOU to everyone who attended! Seeing neighbors come together, children laughing, families making memories, and our community united is exactly what National Night Out is all about
