Over the past few days we assisted a community member whose well was having issues by filling livestock water tanks. We do so much more than respond when the pager goes off and are truly vested in our community. Please don’t hesitate when facing situations like this to give us a shout.

Come one! Come all! The Amnicon Fire Department is hosting our fall fundraiser on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Come eat some spaghetti from 5p - 7p, relax with some bingo afterwards from 7p - 8:30pm. We will round out the festivities with drawings for the Chinese auction prizes and raffle tickets. You can purchase tickets the night of for the Chinese auction and raffle prizes. You do not need to be present to win any of those prizes.

Where are we having these festivities you ask...well...dinner is in the Amnicon Town Hall and the fun part of the evening is in the Amnicon Fire Hall (8985 E US Hwy 2, South Range, WI).

We look forward to kicking off fall with you!

Last night Lakeside, Maple and Poplar fire departments met up for a great night of extrication training. Lakeside purchased new battery power tools recently and put them to the test last night. A huge shout out and thank you to Lakeside Towing for setting up our scene and modifying as needed. Last nights focus was on critical thinking with one car flipped over on another. This allows our members to try different ways of stabilizing and figuring out how patient care and extrication would be done with safety at the top of the list.

Congratulations Dylan on back to back wins at Ceder Lake and a phenomenal rookie year! Our Fire Family is becoming a racing family too with two of our own chasing dirt, another of ours being the rocking pit guy along with all of us rooting, cheering and having their backs. Congratulations Dylan and Heather, Jason and Alex for a fantastic race season! All while still finding time to train, take classes, respond and keep up your FD duties. ❤️

Have a safe and happy 4th of July. Our members made the annual trip to Lake Nebegamon to participate in their parade.

Congratulations to our Fire Department member Alex (far end) as well as the members from other local departments for completing driver operator class. This class teaches the driving laws and how to safely maneuver Emergency Apparatus.

Fire danger in our area is still high. While we did get some precipitation, high winds and lower humidity create rapid spreading of fire.

Critical fire weather conditions are expected north of US-2 in Minnesota today where a Red Flag Warning is in effect until 9 PM. Near-critical fire weather conditions are expected in northwest Wisconsin east of a Hayward to Ashland line. Make sure to follow local burning restrictions.
