✅ TRAFFIC UPDATE: Poquoson Avenue Reopened

​Poquoson Avenue is now fully reopened to traffic between Poplar Street and Bunting Lane.

​The scene of the earlier car accident has been cleared, and normal traffic flow has resumed near the schools and Fire Station 1.

​Thank you again for your patience and cooperation while our emergency crews worked to safely clear the scene!

⚠️ TRAFFIC UPDATE: Poquoson Avenue Closure
​Poquoson Avenue remains closed to all traffic between Poplar Street and Bunting Lane (near Poquoson Middle/Elementary Schools and Fire Station 1).
​Status: Emergency crews are still actively working the scene of the car accident.
​Timeline: There is currently no estimated time (ETA) for when the road will reopen.
​Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as our teams work safely through this incident.

UPDATE: The scene has been cleared and the road is now open to traffic.

This past weekend, the Poquoson Police Department participated in another successful National Drug Take Back Day!

Sgt. Restituto and SRO Bass spent four hours collecting bags of old and unused medications from the community. We want to thank everyone who stopped by to help make our neighborhood safer. 💊💪
