🌸 Now Seeking Food Vendors for the Tiwahe Initiative Grand Opening! 🌸

The Oglala Sioux Tribe Tiwahe Initiative is excited to prepare for our upcoming Grand Opening Celebration on April 23–25, 2026, and we are currently looking for Food Vendors who would like to be part of this special event.

Over the course of three days, we will be welcoming tribal leadership, community partners, programs, families, and children as we celebrate the opening of the Tiwahe Campus and the work being done to strengthen our Wakanyeja, Tiwahe, and Oyate.
We are seeking vendors who can provide prepared meals and food service for one or more of the following event days:

πŸ“ April 23, 2026 – Tribal Council Day
Estimated attendance: 30–50 people
πŸ“ April 24, 2026 – Partners & Programs Day
Estimated attendance: 50–70 people
πŸ“ April 25, 2026 – Families & Children Day
Estimated attendance: 250–300 people

✨ Kid-friendly food options are especially welcome for this day!
If you or someone you know may be interested in serving as a vendor, we would love to hear from you. Vendors may sign up for one day or multiple days.

🌿 Call for Presenters & Community Partners 🌿

The OST Tiwahe Initiative is inviting organizations, educators, cultural leaders, service providers, and community partners to come together in support of our Wakanyeja, Tiwahe, and Oyate.
We are currently accepting proposals for community outreach sessions, activities, camps, and retreats to be hosted at the Tiwahe Campus in Porcupine, SD.

This is an opportunity to bring your knowledge, services, and cultural teachings into a space dedicated to healing, prevention, and strengthening our families. Whether your work focuses on youth engagement, wellness, parenting, advocacy, or cultural revitalization- we welcome you.

✨ We are especially seeking opportunities that center:

β€’ Lakota cultural teachings
β€’ Wellness and prevention
β€’ Life skills and parenting support
β€’ Community resources and advocacy

🎨 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS – INTERIOR PAINTING SERVICES 🎨

The Oglala Sioux Tribe Tiwahe Initiative is now accepting sealed bids from qualified and experienced contractors for interior painting services at the Tiwahe Campus, located at 3771 BIA Highway 27, Porcupine, SD.

This project will include the interior painting of approximately 7,346 square feet of wall space and 1,446 linear feet of trim and baseboards, including the offices, great room, kitchen, hallways, stairwell, restrooms, and interior doors. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, surface preparation, painting, and cleanup necessary to complete the project in a professional and timely manner.

We are seeking contractors who are licensed, insured, and experienced in commercial painting projects. This work is an important part of continuing to improve and prepare the Tiwahe Campus as a welcoming and functional space for our children, families, staff, and community.
