Mrs. Fair and Ms. Annette’s Head Start class had an absolute blast this week exploring colors! After sorting objects by color, they learned about primary colors and how mixing them makes secondary colors. 🎨

October is Fire Safety Month, and today our little ones at Kidz Karousel got an up-close look at what firefighters do, thanks to the awesome team at the West Baton Rouge Parish Fire Department! 🚒✨

From exploring the truck and medic unit to learning how to stay safe, our students had the best time learning from our local heroes. 👨‍🚒

Don't forget to practice your fire safety rules and test those smoke alarms at home this month! 🏠🔥

Caneview’s Head Start parent meeting was filled with inspiring discussions and hope for our students' futures!

We explored Conscious Discipline principles and practiced calm-down breathing techniques—like S.T.A.R. breathing with our star plushie visual! ⭐️

Learning to pause and regulate together helps us build a supportive bridge between home and school so our children can thrive.

Celebrating Small Steps & Big Wins for ! 🎉

At WBR Early Learning, we know that child development is a journey of incredible moments. Every parent’s heart swells at those first independent steps and wobbly attempts to tell a simple story.

This week's infographic breaks down key milestones from Age 1 to Age 4 and, most importantly, provides actionable 'Home Tips' to encourage progress. It's not about being a super-parent; it's about simple, playful moments that make a big difference.

A few highlights to look out for:

🚶 Age 1: Secure walking and exploration of the world! Create safe spaces for exploration.

🤗 Age 2: Building the first social relationships. Model good sharing and plan playdates.

📖 Age 3: Developing complex conversation and story-telling. Talk about books with detailed plots.

🤸 Age 4: Refining advanced physical skills and coordination. Try outdoor games like hopscotch and Simon Says!

🍞 "Not I!" said the dog... but OUR Pre-K friends said, "I WILL!" 🍞

Mrs Goodnow and Ms KiKi’s class had so much fun with The Little Red Hen unit! 🐸❤️
Unlike the storybook characters, our PreK helpers jumped right in to save the day:
1️⃣ Read & Responded: We got a special message from the Little Red Hen asking for our help! 🐔
2️⃣ Graphing Friendship: We graphed all the ways we can lend a helping hand in the classroom. 📊✋
3️⃣ Baking Together: We measured, poured, and mixed our ingredients to bake fresh, delicious bread! 🥣✨
4️⃣ The Taste Test: The best part…Tasting our hard work together with friends! 😋🍞

We love seeing our students learn about teamwork, friendship, and literacy in such hands-on ways!
