Silver Alert: Assistance Needed Locating Port Allen Man

West Baton Rouge Parish – The Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Port Allen Police Department for 79-year-old Johnny Johnson. He was discovered missing from the 1200 block of Maryland Avenue in Port Allen tonight, at approximately 9:04 p.m. The Louisiana State Police received the request to issue a Silver Alert at approximately 10:32 p.m.

Johnson is a black male with brown eyes and gray hair. He is 5’11” and weighs approximately 214 pounds. Family reports that Johnson has a medical condition that may impair his judgment.

Johnson is believed to be driving a charcoal 2015 Chrysler 300 bearing Louisiana license plate DV 12803.

Anyone with information regarding Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Port Allen Police Department immediately at (225) 343-5525 or dial 911. All questions should be directed to the Port Allen Police Department.

The Port Allen Police Department was honored to be apart of “Family Day in the Park”, which was filled with fellowship, laughter, and community spirit. Although the weather called for rain, it did not stop families, friends, and attendees from coming together and finding ways to enjoy the day.

Chief Mitchell and our officers truly enjoyed spending time with the community, meeting families, sharing smiles, and participating in the day’s activities. Events like these always bring fun for everyone!

We would like to thank:

Charlene Gordon, Kenneth Gordon, Christopher Murphy, Shiloh Baptist Church, West Baton Rouge Park and Recreation, City of Port Allen and West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. It was such a positive community event. Your support and positivity helped make the day a success.

After further investigation yesterday, the victim was identified as Tola O. Falana, 40. Detectives are still investigating and gathering information. After further investigation, the victim has been identified as forty year old (40) Tola O. Falana.

Death Investigation

On May 22, 2026 at about 6:00am, our uniform patrol officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Oaks Ave regarding a complaint of a deceased person. Detectives are investigating Falana's death. Limited information is available pending further investigation. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the department at 225-343-5525.
