Planning to run for office in the November election?

Candidates for offices on the November ballot have two options: pay the qualifying fee or submit a nominating petition.

Candidates choosing the petition option must gather signatures and submit their petitions to the registrar of voters for certification by the following deadline:
U.S. House candidates: Wednesday, July 9
All other qualifying offices: Tuesday, July 8

The certified petition must be submitted during the August 5-7 qualifying period.

Candidates who choose to pay the qualifying fee may do so during the August 5-7 qualifying period.
