10am Tropical Update: We now have . This is absolutely mind boggling. The metrics the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center used at 4am to say this was likely not even a tropical cyclone are still there. The worst of the winds are more that 100 miles away from the center. Regardless, the impacts here in SE Texas the rest of the day will be minimal. The worst of the conditions will remain offshore. Upper level winds will continue to push the brunt of the convection off to the east. We could still see some brief gusty winds, but that should be about it.
