Golden Triangle Days in Austin provides an excellent opportunity to socialize and build business relationships with others from throughout Southeast Texas, as well as with state officials, agency directors and their staff members. Meetings with state agency department heads and other officials provide a forum for our delegation to provide information and/or requests to those in Austin, asking for

their support or assistance. All delegates are urged to attend every meeting and/or event during the legislative trip, as every aspect of the event encompasses a valuable part of the process. This is a tremendous opportunity to better understand the way the business of our state is handled and to make an impact on the benefits to our area. During time between group meetings and events, delegates are encouraged to visit the offices of Senators and Representatives from across the state in order to introduce yourself to them and/or their key staff members. Delegates are encouraged to become familiar with the legislative priorities booklet that is included in registration packets. Representatives from all area Chambers of Commerce have been invited and encouraged to attend the meetings, as input is needed from as many people as possible in order to ensure that meetings with state agency and elected officials are comprehensive, to result in positive outcomes for all of Southeast Texas.

As we prepare for the next Golden Triangle Days in Austin 2025, we had a very productive meeting today with members of the Beaumont, Orange and your Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce. We included other local officials such as Jefferson Co. Judge Jeff Branick, Orange Co. Judge John Gothia, Beaumont Mayor Roy West and Senators Brandon Creighton, Senator Robert Nichols and Speaker of the House, Dade Phelan.
