This morning, while attending her daughter’s Senior Walkthrough at her elementary school, Mrs. Crowell had the special opportunity to reconnect with Travis Elementary alumnus, Kayden Rodriguez!

Kayden is graduating from Nederland High School and plans to pursue a career as a pipe fitter following graduation. We are so proud to see our former Titans accomplishing great things and building bright futures!

🚨 Awards Day Visitor Badge Reminder 🚨

As we continue our Awards Day ceremonies, we want to remind families of the following important procedures regarding visitor badges:

🔴 Lost visitor badges will NOT be replaced.

🔴 Visitor badges will NOT be issued on the day of a ceremony/program. All badges must be printed at least one school day in advance.

Our front office staff and administrators are working diligently to process badges while also managing their regular daily responsibilities. Due to the high volume of requests, these procedures are firm and will be strictly enforced.

🪪 IDs may be scanned during the following times:
⏰ 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
⏰ 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

If needed, you may send your ID with a family member to have it scanned on your behalf.

We appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and support as we work to ensure a smooth and secure experience for all of our students and guests. ❤️🖤

🎓🏆 Awards Program Reminders 🏆🎓

We are excited to celebrate our amazing Titans this week! ❤️🖤 Please help us make our Awards Programs run smoothly by reviewing the following reminders:

🚨 ALL guests MUST have their ID scanned in advance and MUST wear their visitor badge while on campus. Entry will not be permitted without a badge.

🛡️ All guests will be required to pass through the metal detector upon entry. To help speed up the process, guests should remove any items that may activate the metal detector, including keys, large jewelry, belt buckles, etc.

🚫 No weapons of any kind are permitted on campus, including pocket knives.

🎈 Balloons are not permitted inside the gym. Balloons may become stuck in the ceiling or block the view of other guests during the ceremony.

👜 We strongly encourage guests to leave purses and bags in their vehicles whenever possible. If a bag is necessary, it must be clear.

📸 Parents and guests are asked to remain seated throughout the ceremony. There will be time for class photos after the teacher finishes announcing awards for the entire class.

👩‍🏫 Students must remain with their teacher during the program and will not be permitted to sit with family members or guests.

👏 Please hold applause until all awards for the class have been announced.

🚪 At the conclusion of the program:
• Guests will exit to the RIGHT of the stage and must exit the building promptly.
• Teachers and students will exit to the LEFT of the stage and return directly to classrooms.

✍️ If you plan to take your child home after the ceremony, you must sign them out at the checkout table near the cafeteria. Parents will wait outside the front entrance doors for their child to be brought to them.

🚔 Any unruly or disruptive behavior by adults will be addressed by law enforcement.
