Yesterday was truly a beautiful day in Port Arthur!

On Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation had the distinct honor of ceremonially dedicating the Port Arthur Business Park in recognition of former CEO Mr. Floyd Batiste.

A visionary, a leader, a true economic developer, and a man who loved Port Arthur were just a few of the words used to describe Mr. Batiste and the lasting impact he made on our community.

The business park, owned and operated by the Port Arthur EDC and located on Spur 93 (West Port Arthur Road), will now proudly bear the name Floyd Batiste Port Arthur Business Park.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Batiste family, community leaders, business park tenants, and everyone who joined us for this special occasion.

It was a beautiful day of celebration, reflection, and recognition of a legacy that will continue to be part of Port Arthur's economic future! ❤️
