Hello Port Austin Neighbor,
As many residents are aware, a petition was started by the Committee to gather names and signatures to determine the level of interest in this project. In hindsight, and based on feedback we believe that a petition was not the appropriate approach at this time. Which is why we are offering a survey in place of the petition; the image below is what the Survey looks like.

The goal is, as it always was, to gather information from those residents interested in this opportunity. The entire sub-committee also feels the current cost is not an acceptable cost for a final assessment cost. Which is why we are switching to a survey which we will use to show State and Federal representatives that there may be interest just not at the current price point.
