Tugfest 2026 ...

Unfortunately we battled a really gross weather day - hot, humid and overall rain off and on throughout the day. With that being said, our total attendance for the pancake breakfast was much lower than last year. Thank you to everyone who came through and enjoyed the breakfast! We hope to see all of you and more next year!

Thanks for another opportunity to serve this awesome little community! We are so thankful for all of you!

Reminder! If you are coming down for the pancake breakfast only ... you do not need to pay the entrance fee. Just let them know you are only coming for the breakfast!!!

A big shout out and thank you to Trip for supplying gift cards to the Rapids City Fire Protection District through their Neighbors Helping Neighbors program.

Our volunteer department appreciates the donation that was used to help buy soda pop for our Pork Plate fund raiser during Rods on the River in Port Byron. All proceeds from the event will go toward our new building fund.

The Rapids City Fire Protection District would like to thank , , and Stern Beverage for donating a pallet of emergency drinking water. This generous donation will help keep our firefighters and our mutual aid neighboring departments hydrated and ready to serve our community.

Responding to a car fire today we had a compartment door come open on our Ladder Truck. We lost several pieces of cribbing and a K12 Saw. We traveled Barber Creek Road to 221st St N to Rt 2 towards Joslin. Returning I88 West to Rt 2 . Rt 2 to 214thSt N to 52nd Ave N to 221st St N to Barber Creek to Rt 84 then the Station. If you happened to have seen this or picked it up please contact the Fire Department at 309 523 2511.
