The Township E-Waste Collection Day was a hit! We sent a dozen pallets of E-Waste off to the recycler!

This was also a time to meet your elected township officials, and celebrate America's 250th Birthday by enjoying grilled hotdogs on Friday evening and coffee & donuts on Saturday morning. Everyone who stopped by went home with American flags and sparklers, to continue the 250th birthday celebration.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!

UPDATE:
According to the Waste Commission of Scott County website (who is picking up our E-Waste), the following items are considered E-Waste: "Computers, screens, televisions, cell phones, printers, cartridges, copiers, stereos, batteries, or any digital electronic device with a screen or circuit board can be shredded, recycled, or reused through our program."

Just a reminder to all Coe Township residents that THIS WEEKEND is the 2026 E-Waste Recycling Collection Days at the Township Hall. Bring all your old TV's, VCR's, Clock Radios and any other electronic devices that can't go in your normal waste bin, and we'll bundle it all up and send it to the E-Waste Recycling Facility.

Both drop off times will also give you an opportunity to meet your elected township officials, and take home an Amercian Flag and Sparklers to help your family celebrate America's 250th Birthday! If you come on Friday, we'll be grilling up hotdogs for you, and if you come on Saturday, we'll be serving up donuts & coffee. Please join us! 5pm to 7pm on Friday and 9am to noon on Saturday.

If you live on a gravel road in Coe Township, our road crews would appreciate your patience as we deal with the heavy rains we've been experiencing. Our crews have hit every road in the township with the motor grader, but when inches of rain follow, it softens the freshly graded road and brings mud to the surface.

For those with school children attending Riverdale, we've been working closely with the school's transportation department, and they have created temporary alternate routes to help us deal with the road issues.

Our voicemail has been inundated with calls, but we are well aware of the issues.

Please be patient.
