NOTICE: Rock Island County Road Department will be doing road work at the intersection of 80th Ave N and 256th St N.

80th Ave N at the intersection of 256th St N will be closed for 24-48 hours while crews replace a Culvert.

Due to constantly changing weather conditions, and exact start date is unknown at this moment, but work is expected to take place in the next week or two. As soon as we have an exact date, we'll post an update here.

If you live on a gravel road in Coe Township, our road crews would appreciate your patience as we deal with the heavy rains we've been experiencing. Our crews have hit every road in the township with the motor grader, but when inches of rain follow, it softens the freshly graded road and brings mud to the surface.

For those with school children attending Riverdale, we've been working closely with the school's transportation department, and they have created temporary alternate routes to help us deal with the road issues.

Our voicemail has been inundated with calls, but we are well aware of the issues.

Please bear with us as we get the roads cleared during this snow event. One of our plow trucks was involved in an accident today, and is out of commission indefinitely (there were no injuries). We are seeking help from nearby townships, and we have our tractor out plowing, but being down a plow truck is causing us to fall behind. We are doing our best to get all roads cleared, but our focus is on the primary roads right now. If you live on, or travel our secondary roads, please be patient. Please stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to go out. Thank you for your understanding.

Coe Township Residents: Several members of the community have asked about the possibility of the township installing one or two pickle ball courts at the township building. We're asking for public input on the idea. Please comment below or direct message your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

REMINDER: Coe Township Dumpster Days are coming up in August! Friday, August 15th from 5pm to 7pm and Saturday, August 16th from 9am to noon, Coe Township residents can bring bulky items to the township building fir disposal. NO ELECTRONICS, TIRES, PAINTS OR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.
