Meet Mary Jumbelic, M.D., forensic pathologist and former Chief Medical Examiner of Onondaga County as she unearths the forensic science of bones at Port Byron Library in this hands-on event with presentation.
Learn what forensic scientists do when a skeleton is found. How do they know it is human? Can they tell the difference between a man and a woman? What tools do they use?
Examine parts of a plastic human model as well as various animal bones. Understand the very basics of an anthropology examination using measuring devices.
