There’s a reason our fire department is always ready when it matters most—and it starts with the work that happens when nobody’s watching.

Every Monday night, our crew shows up to train, push themselves, and stay sharp. This week, we went to a fire training tower, working through real-world scenarios involving extreme fire conditions—especially learning how to fight fires moving through floors.

We were also glad to have the guys from the Victory Fire Department join us for the training. Opportunities like this to train together make everyone better, strengthen teamwork between departments, and help ensure we’re all ready when the call comes in.

These conditions aren’t easy—they’re intense, unpredictable, and demand quick thinking and trust in one another. That’s exactly why we train the way we do.

Proud of this crew and the effort they put in week after week. It’s all about being prepared to protect our community when it counts.

Conquest Engine 1 getting ready to practice pumping water from a water source. The water source that was used was a pond on Slayton Rd at the farm of Larry and Dawn Waterman.
