Today, the Port Carbon Police Department remembers all those who lost their lives in the attacks of September 11, 2001, and honors the first responders who answered the call.

In New York City, at the Pentagon, and near Shanksville, firefighters, law-enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, and other responders acted with extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable danger. Many gave their lives that day, while others have since died from illnesses connected to the rescue and recovery efforts.

We remember every innocent life lost, every first responder who made the ultimate sacrifice, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

We will never forget. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

A few extra seconds can make all the difference.

Drive carefully. Stay alert. Protect our children.

Wishing all of our students, teachers, staff, and families a safe and successful start to the new school year! πŸ“šβœοΈ
