Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 Port Carbon Volunteer Fire Department proudly serving the citizens of the Borough of Port Carbon, Pennsylvania and surrounding communities. Good Will Fire Co.

No. 1 is the only fire station of the Port Carbon Fire Department (PCFD). Also know as Fire District 59 from the county numbering system, PCFD currently fields a fleet of five vehicles and is staffed by a dedicated crew of volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians. In addition to fire protection, PCFD also provides a PA Department of Health Certified Quick Response Service (QRS) wh

ich provides rapid emergency medical response whenever an ambulance is called for in Port Carbon, Mechanicsville, Palo Alto, or Schoentown.

The Good Will Fire Co. No. 1 offers our deepest condolences to the family of Edward Slane as well as to our fellow firefighters at the Good Intent Fire Company of New Philadelphia, the Tuscarora Fire Company, and the Pottsville Fire Company No. 1. Ed was a fixture in the local fire service and served many years as Chief 54, was a past assistant chief for the City of Pottsville, and also had a long career as a PA state fire instructor. He will be deeply missed.
