Five Guys Named Moe!
No you Hungry Hippos, I’m not talking Grub...I mean, this has nothing to do with that Burger joint in Bridgeport, some oddly-named Southwest Grill or the tasty burgers at the ever expanding franchise that D.C. made famous!
So, what IS it, you ask?
I’m talking the new show at Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford.
So, here’s the deal!
“FIVE GUYS Named MOE” is a tribute to Louis Jordan, the 1940s Rhythm & Blues singer, songwriter and bandleader, whose new approach to Jazz paved the way for Rock & Roll in the 1950s. The show is the main attraction of WBT’s Black History Month celebration. Too bad February is the shortest month on the calendar because as someone who has seen maybe 25+ shows at the Westchester Broadway Dinner Theatre since I was a child, I absolutely implore, suggest, encourage, recommend, or whatever, that you book your tickets for this Jazzy, Soulful and joyous show, NOW! You see, this isn’t just a Musical, it’s an Experience, at times interactive too. Of all the shows I’ve had the pleasure of seeing—and most were displays of a range of great acting and Music—this show features a unique, raw talent!
5 Guys Named Moe is a showcase of, you guessed it, 5 individuals and their ability to entertain an otherwise conservative audience with their God-given talents. There’s incredible song, Dance dance, Culture, Comedy, wit and improvisation.
Sure, there’s great shows that celebrate Celebrate Black culture on the great white way this February (Tina. the Tina Turner Musical, A Soldier’s Play, Ain't Too Proud: the Life & Times of the Temptations, and others), but, let’s face it, we live in Westchester! So, do you want to this to be easy, or do you want to make it hard on yourself? No need to wrestle with the hustle and bustle of New York City when you can simply call the WBT Box Office today and book your 5 Guys Named Moe experience. It’s a memory you’ll cherish. Oh, and the food is great too...just don’t order a burger!
