Last night,PCPD received a 911 call reporting an injured party on Horton ave in the Village. Upon arrival of officers and EMS it was discovered the party was walking on the sidewalk and fell onto private property and became impaled on a broken sign post.

The victim who was conscious and alert, suffered an impalment of the broken sign post to his head.

PCFD arrived and together personnel came up with a plan to cut the sign post,stabize the victim and remove .

Members had to dig by hand around the sign and than carefully cut the post while preventing any further injury.

After about 45mins the victim was stabized,post cut and transported to Westchester Medical center.

This is a clear example of the level of professionalism and training,that exists while working together for a common goal.

The victim was transported as said earlier, conscious and alert.

Good ending to a very serious situation.
