Sand Road will be closed at Rock Ledge for brief periods this morning, May 6th, for a construction project.

On May 11th, temporary traffic signals will be installed for single lane closures which is expected to last two days.

Workers will be present. Please use extra caution in the area.

SR 53 IS NOW OPEN

State Route 53 is closed at Schoolhouse Rd. and Porter Rd. due to a broken utility pole and wires down.

The road is open to North Fairway Drive TO LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY!

We express our profound sadness for the tragic loss of Lorain Police Officer Phillip Wagner. We mourn for society's loss and we pray for his family, fellow officers, friends and our entire law enforcement Community.

May officers Peter Gale and Brent Payne recover swiftly from their injuries and may they find strength courage and solace in the coming days.
