We would like to introduce the newest addition to our K-9 team, Jett. Jett is a dual purpose K-9 trained in narcotic detection, tracking, and apprehension. Jett is 4 years old and was imported from Germany. Jett has lots of energy and loves going on patrol with his handler, Deputy O’Connell. Jett is always ready to play his favorite games like fetch and tug!

Thank you to Port Clinton Middle School for having us at your career day yesterday. Detective Boyer, K9 Diesel, and Detective Sergeant Glovinsky represented the Sheriff's Office explaining our K9 division and SWAT team. We enjoyed meeting with everyone!

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office Dog Warden Division and the Ottawa County Auditor's Office have partnered with DocuPet for all dog license registrations. Beginning December 1, there will be a new way to purchase your dog license. Please visit ottawacounty.docupet.com beginning December 1st to create a new profile and license your pet for the upcoming year. Please note, the website is not available currently for public view and you are not able to purchase upcoming dog license for 2026 at this time. Please help us spread the word with this upcoming change. More information about the new system and how to register will be made available in the coming days and weeks as we all learn this new system together. For any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Dog Warden's Office at 419-898-1368 or the Auditor's Office at 419-734-6740.
