United Way in Ottawa County is a collaboration of community volunteers, health and human-service providers and donors throughout Ottawa County who are committed to changing lives. As part of United Way of Greater Toledo, we assist citizen leaders to develop an agenda to strengthen community life in areas the community most cares about and needs. We facilitate and support a wide range of community-based efforts to make a measurable impact in those areas.

We're proud to celebrate 108 years! It would not be possible with the support of our community 💙

108 years ago, a group of community members came together with a shared belief that we are stronger together. 💙 Today, we celebrate that legacy as United Way of Greater Toledo turns 108!

From the Toledo War Chest to the organization we are today, our name and our work have evolved but our heart has never changed. We exist to unite the caring power of community to improve lives, and every single year that mission drives everything we do.

To every person who has volunteered, donated, partnered, and believed in this community alongside us: thank you. Here's to 108 years and so many more to come! 🥳

This Mother’s Day, honor someone who helped shape your love of reading. 💛📚

Jane Taylor and her granddaughter Alivia remind us how powerful reading together can be. In her letter, Alivia shares what Imagination Library means to her — a beautiful reflection of the memories and connections books create.

A gift to Imagination Library helps provide free books to local children and encourages families to build those same special moments together.

Give in honor of someone who once read to you.
