Port Costa Conservation Society is opening the ball field next to the school for car parking for the duration of the street paving project, which we understand is August 31 – September 18. The county has not communicated much about this project beyond saying "no parking" in the affected areas for that period.
Any town resident who needs to park their car away from their home because of the paving project, is welcome to use the ball field to park.
The ball field gate will be left open for that time (8/31 - 9/18) and car owners may come and go as needed. Any cars parked there will be unattended, so people should remove valuables and lock their cars before leaving.
PCCS cannot assume any responsibility for theft or damage that might occur to cars parked in the ball field during this time.
