GOOD DAY, PORT DEPOSIT!

The Town Council will hold its legislative session on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 64 S. Main Street. The public may attend in person or via Zoom.

Upon adjournment, the Council will convene in executive session and will not return to open session.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE NOTICE

Residents and visitors should be aware of the following temporary closures in Port Deposit:

⚓ Marina Park Boat Launch & Fishing Area
Closed September 18–20

🚧 S. Main Street
Closed September 19 from 5:30–10 PM
Closure extends from Oyster Shell Alley to Center Street. Follow detour.

Please plan accordingly and allow extra time when traveling through the area. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during these temporary closures.

NOTICE OF HOLIDAY CLOSURE

In observance of Labor Day, Town Hall will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Household trash and recycling collection normally scheduled for Monday will be delayed by one day and collected on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Grants of up to $10,000 per property are available for eligible facade, landscape, and streetscape improvements. Applications are DUE THURSDAY, AUGUST 27 at Noon. CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
ROCK RUN EMBANKMENT PROJECT

On or about August 26, 2026, Erosion Control Specialist, Inc. will begin construction on the Rock Run embankment located at the entrance to Spot in the Rock Park, off Race Street in Port Deposit. The project is anticipated to take approximately 60 days to complete, weather and site conditions permitting.

During construction, traffic in the project area will be restricted to single-lane passage at times. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic safely through the work zone.

Motorists should use caution when traveling through the area, follow all construction signage and flagger directions, and expect delays.

The Town appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this important improvement project is underway. If you have any questions, please contact Town Hall at 410-378-2121.

GRANT OPPORTUNITY - Application Deadline August 27 at Noon!

The Town of Port Deposit is now accepting applications for the 2027 Property Improvement Grant Program. Eligible property owners may receive up to $10,000 for qualifying façade, landscape, and streetscape improvements. Applications are due by 12:00 p.m. on August 27, 2026.
