The Carriage House of Port Deposit

The Carriage House of Port Deposit We are The Event Location with Historic Atmosphere. The Carriage House hosts indoor & outdoor events The street floor has changed slightly.

The Carriage House is a Victorian example of "Carpenter Gothic". Built in 1850 by Jacob Tome, it was his personal, carriage house, adjacent to his mansion. The stalls no longer exist, leaving one large room. However, the stable courtyard behind the Carriage House is still in existence. The cobblestones are re-purposed ships' ballasts! And, of course, the granite wall is a wonderful, unique backdrop. The Carriage House is a "must see".

While this year’s theme doesn’t wear a cardigan, the spirit of kindness, community, and care is very much alive in the pieces being shared. It’s a reminder that Port Deposit has always been, and continues to be, a town of neighbors looking out for one another, of history meeting heart.
