NMCB 3 recently had the opportunity to visit and sponsor Recruit Division 391 at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes during their first week of training.

Command Master Chief Setty and LT Faber spent time with the division, answering questions, talking through teamwork and how to get through the challenges ahead, and sharing some of the lessons they have learned throughout their own careers. For CMDCM, the visit also marked nearly 27 years since he went through recruit training himself; a reminder of how much has changed, while the fundamentals of trust, teamwork and taking care of the people beside you remain the same.

One of the biggest topics the recruits asked about was how trust and team building actually start. How a group of people from different backgrounds begins to come together, rely on each other, and become a team. Those conversations matter, especially this early, because that foundation is what will carry them through training and eventually into the Fleet.

Sponsoring a recruit division is important because it gives these future Sailors another connection to the Fleet from the very beginning. It gives them additional people to turn to for perspective, information, and encouragement as they progress through different stages of training.

We’re proud to support Division 391 as they continue their journey toward becoming United States Navy Sailors.

Congratulations on your selections to Chief Petty Officer!

ACC 3-1 spent FTX balancing mission ex*****on with projects that leave a lasting impact — conducting airfield damage repair operations alongside a detachment of Marines from MWSS 373 and 372 while also improving Fort Hunter Liggett through construction of a latrine pad for the Z6 Range and concrete stairs near the main range BBQ area. From operational readiness to quality of life improvements, these Bees stayed hard at work 🐝⚓️

WCC 3-2 put in work during FTX — executing an ExPDRO overhead concrete pour, building a sentry post and VTOL pad, and working side-by-side with UCT 2 to get the mission done. Another successful evolution driven by teamwork, adaptability, and Seabee ingenuity 🏗️🦺⚓️⚒️
