Naval Construction Group ONE (NCG1) hosted a delegation of military officers from the Colombian War College today at the Civil Engineer Corps Officers School (CECOS) campus. As part of a series of scheduled engagements, the delegation received comprehensive briefings from CSFE Commander, CAPT Jeffrey Deviney, and NCG1 Operations Officer, CDR Julie Miller.

The presentations covered critical mission areas, including:

Naval Construction Force (NCF) Structure

Port and Airfield Damage Repair (ADR)

Operational Certification Overviews

This engagement serves to strengthen international partnerships and exchange technical expertise in expeditionary engineering.

Surrounded by a standing-room-only crowd at the Seabee Museum, CMCS (SWC/EXW) Tracy Harris retired today, concluding over 24 years of honorable service. The attendees were treated to an emotional and memorable ceremony packed with shared stories and laughter.

In honor of this milestone, the CSFE Chiefs Mess hosted a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Wednesday morning.
This special day highlights the vital role of the "Chief's Mess" within the Navy. The Chief Petty Officer rank, officially established on April 1, 1893, created a crucial bridge between officers and enlisted personnel. Chiefs are the backbone of the Navy, serving as mentors to junior Sailors, upholding the Navy's core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, and providing invaluable technical expertise.

Embodying the spirit of "One team, One fight!", a group of Navy and Air Force students excelled during an early morning uniform inspection on Thursday. The inspection, carried out by the Naval Construction Training Center, Port Hueneme (NCTC PH) leadership, highlighted the outstanding collaboration between Navy students in "A" and "C" schools and their Air Force pipeline counterparts.

RADM Robert Nowakowski, Deputy Commander of NETC Force Development, spent yesterday getting a firsthand look at the Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) in Port Hueneme and the Naval Civil Engineer Corps Officers School (CECOS). Throughout his tour, he participated in a variety of activities, including briefings and hands-on demonstrations. The Rear Admiral also observed CECOS Student Confirmation Briefs and engaged with the next generation of CEC officers in a classroom discussion.
