Our Haycox students are officially becoming Salad Bar Superstars! 🥗⭐

A big thank you to Ms. Cassandra from Ventura County Farm to School for visiting our youngest learners and teaching them all about healthy eating, salad bar etiquette, and hand hygiene.

Our students learned the simple 3-step routine:
1. Grab your tray 🍽️
2. Use your tools 🧼🥢
3. Build your salad 🍅🥗

They also learned important "Do's & Don'ts"—like using tongs properly and never touching the food with bare hands—so everyone stays healthy and safe while building delicious, fresh salads!

Huge thanks to VC Farm to School for making healthy choices so fun and interactive! 🥕🥦

¡Nuestros estudiantes de Haycox se están convirtiendo oficialmente en Superestrellas de la Barra de Ensaladas! 🥗⭐

Muchas gracias a la Sra. Cassandra, de Ventura County Farm to School por visitar a nuestros estudiantes más pequeños y enseñarles todo sobre la alimentación saludable, las normas de uso de la barra de ensaladas y la higiene de manos.

Nuestros alumnos aprendieron una sencilla rutina de 3 pasos:
1. Toma tu bandeja 🍽️
2. Usa los utensilios 🧼🥢
3. Prepara tu ensalada 🍅🥗

También aprendieron normas importantes sobre qué hacer y qué no hacer —como usar correctamente las pinzas y nunca tocar la comida con las manos desnudas— para que todos se mantengan sanos y seguros mientras preparan ensaladas frescas y deliciosas.

What an incredible Back to School Night yesterday at Hollywood Beach School! 🏫

It was inspiring to see the classrooms buzzing as families connected with teachers, learned about this year’s learning goals, and stepped into their students' daily school routine. That strong home-to-school connection makes all the difference in helping our kids thrive.

We are so grateful for your partnership and support as we kick off another learning-packed school year together. 💙

¡Qué increíble estuvo ayer la Noche de Regreso a Clases en la Escuela Hollywood Beach! 🏫

Fue inspirador ver el gran entusiasmo en las clases mientras las familias interactuaban con los maestros, aprendían sobre las metas de aprendizaje de este año, y entraban en la rutina escolar diaria de sus hijos. Esa fuerte conexión entre el hogar y la escuela marca la diferencia para ayudar a nuestros hijos a prosperar.

What a fantastic Back to School Night yesterday at Hueneme Elementary! 🏫✨

Thank you to all the families who filled the hallways and classrooms with so much energy and support. Seeing parents connect with teachers, tour classrooms, and dive into the new school year together was incredible.

¡Qué fantástica estuvo ayer la Noche de Regreso a Clases en la Escuela Primaria Hueneme! 🏫✨

Gracias a todas las familias que llenaron los pasillos y salones con tanta energía y apoyo. Ver a los padres conectarse con los maestros, recorrer las clases y sumergirse juntos en el nuevo año escolar fue increible.

Blackstock is still feeling the energy from their assembly with youth speaker and advocate Lucca Petrucci earlier this week!

Lucca brought incredible energy and heart to the school as he shared his powerful message with our students. He challenged them to embrace their authenticity, break free from self-doubt, and lift up those around them.

A huge thank you to Lucca for empowering our school community to lead with empathy, inclusion, and confidence!

☕Great turnout at the first Williams Cafecito con la Directora (Coffee with the Principal) of the new school year. The morning informal gathering gave parents a chance to connect directly with school administration and essential support staff, including the Principal, School Counselor, Community School Coordinator, Special Education Team, and Healthy Start Team.

During the session, team members introduced their roles, highlighted resources available to families, and discussed school-wide behavioral expectations for the year. Building strong relationships between home and school is essential for student success. Thank you to all the parents and guardians who attended!💙

☕Gran asistencia al primer encuentro "Cafecito con la Directora" de Williams del nuevo año escolar. Esta reunión informal matutina brindó a los padres la oportunidad de conectar directamente con la administración escolar y el personal de apoyo clave, incluyendo a la directora, la consejera escolar, la coordinadora de la escuela comunitaria, el equipo de educación especial y el equipo de Healthy Start.

Earlier this week, Larsen students gathered for their Guidelines for Success Assembly. 🏫

Together with Principal Jimenez, they reviewed Larsen’s core values, positive behavior expectations, and everyday routines—from classroom habits to hallway and cafeteria norms. Assemblies like these give our students the clear expectations and encouragement they need to build a supportive, respectful, and safe community all year long. ❤️

A principios de esta semana, los estudiantes de Larsen se reunieron para la Asamblea Sobre las Pautas para el Éxito. 🏫

Junto con la Directora Jimenez, repasaron los valores fundamentales de Larsen, las expectativas de comportamiento positivo y las rutinas diarias, abarcando desde los hábitos en la clase hasta las normas para los pasillos y la cafetería. Our TK students at Sunkist are learning all about the color ORANGE!

From sensory exploration and hands-on activities to songs, stories, sorting, and fine-motor practice, our youngest learners are experiencing the color orange in so many fun and meaningful ways.

In TK, learning happens through play, exploration, language, and hands-on experiences—and Orange Week is a perfect example!

¡Nuestros estudiantes de TK en Sunkist están aprendiendo todo sobre el color ANARANJADO!

A través de experiencias sensoriales, actividades prácticas, canciones, cuentos, clasificación y actividades de motricidad fina, nuestros pequeños estudiantes están explorando el color anaranjado de muchas maneras divertidas y significativas.

En TK, los niños aprenden a través del juego, la exploración, el lenguaje y experiencias prácticas. ¡La Semana del Color Anaranjado es un gran ejemplo!
