Thumb Area Paranormal Society - TAPS Michigan Thumb Area Paranormal Society - TAPS Michigan was founded in 2004 under the name Oakland County Paranormal Research. Founded By: Zachary Taylor (2004)

We are dedicated to finding proof and backup claims that paranormal activity does exist by performing investigations on a volunteer basis. We do not charge for any investigations performed, we consider ourselves to be a "free-volunteer organization". We are not in any way affiliated with The Atlantic Paranormal Society, however our investigating methods are similar. We serve mainly the Thumb area

of Michigan and some of Southeast Lower Michigan. If you are interested in setting up an appointment for an investigation, my personal e.Mail has been provided on this site.

If you are interested in pursuing "ghost hunting" on your own. Please beware that many places listed on the internet are private property. Investigating paranormal activity can be educational and fun at the same time, but without the proper permission to investigate can also lead to trespassing. Make sure you know your local laws before entering any property you think may be haunted. For example, if you believe a set of railroad tracks may have paranormal activity, please note that most railways are owned by the Federal Government USDOT. Be aware of where you investigate, be safe and happy "hunting".
