🚧 Conner Street Closure Begins Monday, August 31

Beginning Monday, August 31, Conner Street will be closed to traffic between Electric Avenue and Military Street for the Conner Street Reconfiguration Project.

The project will convert Conner Street into a one-lane, one-way street traveling westbound and includes roadway reconstruction, resurfacing, sidewalk and ADA ramp upgrades, storm sewer work and traffic signal improvements.

A posted detour will be in place during construction. Intermittent lane closures may also occur on Electric Avenue and Military Street. Access to local businesses will be maintained from Military Street and/or Electric Avenue.

Construction is expected to be completed by October 15, 2026.

Here's Mayor Pro Tem Sherry Archibald and City Manager James Freed at the ribbon-cutting for the new Scott Avenue pedestrian pathway and greenspace along the eastbound I-94/I-69 exit to Pine Grove Avenue. City of Port Huron residents made their voices heard, and MDOT listened to help make the area what we desired it to be, something that we can be proud of that connects Port Huron in a beneficial way.
