Monday - Drop By - Memorial Stadium – Port Huron Schools
For generations, Memorial Stadium has been more than just a football field for Port Huron Schools — it’s been a gathering place for our community, tradition, school pride, and remembrance. From Friday night lights to championship moments, this stadium holds memories for thousands of families across our District and the Blue Water Area.
But one of the most meaningful parts of Memorial Stadium stands quietly at the front entrance — the World War II memorial honoring the brave men and women who served our country.
The names displayed there are a reminder that this stadium was built not only for sports and celebration, but also to remember sacrifice, courage, and hometown heroes who gave everything for future generations.
Every athlete, student, coach, parent, and fan who walks through those gates passes by a piece of Port Huron history.
This Memorial Day, the front gates will be open for anyone who would like to stop by, pay their respects, place flowers, or leave American flags at the base of the memorial between the hours of 1:00 -3:00pm (after the parade).
Thank you to Chris Damon and Port Huron Schools' Operations Department for organizing this.
Please feel invited and welcome to take a moment and honor the heroes whose names are forever remembered at Memorial Stadium.
Never forgotten.
