IT’S HERE!!

The new and improved Little Food Pantry was delivered to the southeast corner of the Port Huron Township Office Building’s parking lot today. The original pantry was built to fulfill a need and meet an Eagle Scout requirement; it has served its purpose well.

This larger, sturdier structure will allow us to better address the overwhelming issue of food insecurity in our community.

A huge thank you to our anonymous donor who saw a need and graciously fulfilled it. At his insistence, he will remain anonymous. Thanks also to his helper who delivered it safely.

This is what it’s all about – neighbors helping neighbors. Let’s also take a moment to thank the donors who show up quietly and regularly to place items in the pantry. You are making a good difference. Without you, our Little Food Pantry couldn’t exist. Special thanks to Port Huron Township for allowing us to utilize the space we needed to expand our efforts.

Take what you need, leave what you can. It’s as simple as that. If you have fundraising experience or would like to be more involved in this worthwhile endeavor, please contact Penny at 810-987-6600, ext. 20, or by email at [email protected].
