Port Isabel Police Department celebrated our amazing dispatchers in honor of National Telecommunications Week! They were treated to a delicious lunch at Olive Garden as a small token of our gratitude for their hard work and dedication.

Our dispatchers are the vital link between the community and first responders, working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everyone safe. They truly deserve this recognition and so much more.

We had a little fun creating some AI-generated photos of our team because if anyone deserves some fun recognition it’s them!

This week we’re celebrating the voices behind the scenes, from answering 9-1-1 calls in someone’s worst moment… to dispatching Police 🚔, Fire 🚒, and EMS 🚑 in seconds, juggling radios, phones, and computer screens like pros, our telecommunicators do it all (and make it look easy… most of the time 😄). They are the calm in the chaos, the steady hands behind the headset, and the multitasking masters who keep our community safe 24/7.
