What fun it is to be able to say … WELCOME BACK good friends from the North, we missed you! AND thank you for bringing the cooler, less humid weather with you! It has been HOT in south Texas!

If you haven’t visited the newly re-opened, re-structured Library, come by, we would love to give you the tour. Remember, hours are 1-3 PM, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

We have 3 shelves of “new to the library” books and arriving this next week are two recently released popular authors:

“In too Deep” A Jack Reacher Novel, Lee Child
And
“Too Die For” (6:20 Man), David Baldacci

Hopefully these books will be set up and ready for loaning by Friday the 22nd.

And as a gentle reminder … the first Trash and Treasures of the season is only 3 weeks from today!!! The Library will again have the “Bake Sale”. The Bake Sale is our primary fund raiser to help with new book purchases and other Library needs as well as helping with community needs. We look forward to receiving the wonderful goodies you put together for us!

Hi … and here it is … the first post from your Long Island Village Library! Thats the first thing I wanted to tell you, and for me this is huge! I have resisted facebook for ever! Be kind … I will get there!
Secondly … you’ve probably noticed or maybe you haven’t been here to notice … the library has been closed for several months. With the blessings of our General Manager, Doc Young, our library with the awesome help of Armando 1, Rene, Armando 2, Luisa and Bianca, have taken this tired old building and given it new purpose. We are opening Monday November 4th, 1 - 3 PM. We invite you to come see the changes, enjoy a cup of coffee and maybe a cookie, check out a book or a puzzle, start a puzzle or just sit a spell.
