It’s sad that the New York State Liquor Authority has no respect for Licensees, or compassion for their concerns. SLA spokesperson is misinformed or lying. Our repeated efforts to bring clarity to this issue have been largely ignored.

Business owners plead for clear, sensible and fair rules.

The state has suspended liquor licenses for 11 New York State bars after finding egregious violations of pandemic-related Executive Orders.

Nice deflection from Cuomo’s nursing home deaths. He put hundreds of innocent workers out of their jobs and innocent landlords will not be getting rent checks next week.

Governor Cuomo announced that the multi-agency task force to combat violations of coronavirus-related regulations at bars and restaurants conducted nearly 1,100 compliance checks between July 21 and July 23, documenting violations at 84 establishments.

Folks, the state isn’t fooling around with these rules.

Island Park Bar, Dox, was found repeatedly violating the Governor’s Executive Orders regarding social distancing. At one point packing patrons onto an outdoor patio, 5 times over the legal capacity.

“This licensee received repeated warnings and chose to ignore them, causing an unnecessary and avoidable health risk to patrons, employees and the community,” said SLA Chairman Vincent Bradley. “Licensees who ignore these lifesaving protocols are not just jeopardizing their licenses, they’re jeopardizing people’s lives.”

Current COVID-19 off-premises sales privileges for bars, restaurants and manufacturers put in place by the Governor's EO are extended until July 26, 2020.

This restriction may be amended depending upon the circumstances.
