Congratulations to our Baseball Team for capturing the Class C County Championship and to our Girls Track & Field Team for earning the Class D County Championship title!

Another congratulations to our Earl L. Vandermeulen Track & Field athletes who captured Individual County Championships this season!

EARL L. VANDERMEULEN HIGH SCHOOL PARTNERS WITH THE SOCIETY OF MAYFLOWER DESCENDANTS TO AWARD STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Earl L. Vandermeulen High School is proud to announce a new partnership with the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of New York. Through this meaningful collaboration, the organization generously provided two scholarships to current Grade 11 students in recognition of their academic achievement and commitment to the study of history.

This marks the first time Earl L. Vandermeulen High School has partnered with the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of New York, making the occasion especially significant as the nation prepares to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. The Port Jefferson School District is proud to announce that Earl L. Vandermeulen High School has earned Platinum distinction on the 2025 Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll, the highest level of recognition awarded by the College Board.

This month, we are proud to recognize Salvatore Figliolia for his exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment to the Port Jefferson school community.

Salvatore works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our schools remain clean, safe, welcoming, and run smoothly every day. His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and unwavering sense of responsibility are evident in everything he does. Whether coordinating building operations, supporting staff and students, or addressing the needs of families and community organizations, Sal consistently goes above and beyond.
