🚨 National CPR & AED Awareness Week 🚨

As we recognize National CPR & AED Awareness Week, we would like to give special recognition to one of our own, Lt. Tom Gulbransen.

While attending an event where a Hauppauge resident was delivering a speech, the resident suddenly went into cardiac arrest. Good Samaritans, including Lt. Gulbransen — who also serves as Chair of the Suffolk County Council Environmental Quality Committee — immediately jumped into action and began CPR, helping bring the resident back to life.

Situations like this are a powerful reminder of how important CPR training and quick action truly are.

Thank you, Lt. Gulbransen, for your dedication, professionalism and outstanding actions. Job well done! 🚑👏

🚨 Car Fire Response 🚨

This afternoon, the Setauket Fire Department responded to a car fire in the vicinity of Route 347 and Arrowhead Lane. Engine 14 arrived quickly on scene and crews worked together to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby vehicles. The incident was brought under control under the command of the Chief of Department.

Great work by all members involved. 🔥🚒
