To join the "Friends of the Library," please call Sue Clayton (845) 856-5907. To volunteer in the booksale room please call Carol Lamo

reaux (845) 856-3741 or Caroline Nielsen (845) 856-2005. The Friends of the Library meet at 2 PM on the third Thursday of every month at the Port Jervis Free Library. New members are always welcome. Please consider joining the Friends at $10 per person. Membership applications are available at the front desk of the library.

Thank You Book Donors!

The many books, DVDs, and CDs which you have contributed to the Book Cellar have supplied many literacy programs in our area and have financially benefited the Port Jervis Free Library!
Please continue to place your "gently used" donations in the drop box located within the foyer of the main library entrance.
Books placed in outdoor bins leave our community but books placed in this drop box will remain in our community and be used locally in our little libraries, local schools, food pantries and of course, our book cellar.

Your continued support is greatly appreciated!

Iโ€™ve had enough.
The Trump administration is doing everything it can to loot and destroy our forests, our water, our natural heritage.
Mining near the Boundary Waters. Dismantling the U.S. Forest Service. Handing our public lands to timber company executives.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Boundary Waters: Americaโ€™s most visited wilderness, with 1.09 million acres of ancient forest and glacier-carved lakes, protected for generations of canoeing, hiking, and fishing.
That protection began over a century ago, and was cemented in the 1978 Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Act.
Now? Itโ€™s under attack.

We donโ€™t just need memories of Smokey Bear. We need voices. We need anger. We need action.
๐Ÿ’š Speak up for the Boundary Waters.
๐Ÿ’š Defend the Superior National Forest.
๐Ÿ’š Stand against every politician who sees our wild lands as a giveaway.
๐Ÿ“ข Wear your wilderness pride โ€” and make them hear you.
