We know how much it matters when local partners choose to give back close to home.

This month, participating Pizza Hut locations are helping support that local work. For every special meal bundle purchased, Pizza Hut is donating $2 to local United Ways.

NONPROFIT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY STILL HAS A FEW SPOTS AVAILABLE!

📣 Five spots are still available for the 2026–2027 Nonprofit Leadership Academy!

Our new cohort begins September 2nd, (just THREE weeks from today!) and we have room for a few more current and emerging nonprofit leaders, including board members, to join us for this 9-month professional development experience

We meet in person on the Texas A&M University-Victoria campus one day each month to dig into the topics nonprofit leaders deal with every day, including leadership, strategic planning, fundraising, program development, communications, team development, data and performance, and financial management.

But the Academy is about more than training. It’s also an opportunity to build relationships with other nonprofit leaders from across our region, learn from one another, and spend dedicated time working on your own leadership and organization.

If you’ve been thinking about applying, this is your chance! Applications for the remaining five spots are being accepted now.

We're excited to see the new shade structure over the Storytelling Station on the Born Learning Trail at City Park!

Thank you to Jody Weaver and the City of Port Lavaca Parks Department, Lester Contracting, Rotary District 5930, Port Lavaca Rotary, Clark Constructors, Mancera Construction and others for helping make this project possible.

Children and families now have a shaded place to pause, read, and enjoy the Storytelling Station while exploring the trail. Together, we're creating opportunities for learning, imagination, and family connection right here in Calhoun County. 📚🌳❤️
