Citizens Hook & Ladder recently hosted a live structure burn, which six members attended over the course of two days. Thank you for organizing this valuable training opportunity. The event provided an excellent chance to refresh and hone skills. Notably, two members completed the Essentials of Fire Fighting course and participated in the live fire training. Well done to the instructors and students for their dedication and hard work.

Today, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate all of the incredible mothers out there. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms who give so much of themselves every single day to their families, friends, and communities.

A very special thank you goes out to the mothers within our fire company family. Whether you are answering calls, helping behind the scenes, organizing events, supporting fundraisers, cooking meals, keeping things running smoothly, or standing beside those who serve — your dedication never goes unnoticed.

Volunteer fire companies are built on teamwork, sacrifice, and family, and so many of our mothers play a huge role in making that possible. Your strength, compassion, and endless support help keep this company moving forward every day.

From all of us at the Port Matilda Volunteer Fire Company, thank you for everything you do and we wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day!
