For this year's fair vote, you get to vote for your favorite Seattle Mariners Salmon Run Salmon. On the ballot are King, Sockeye and Silver. Humpy got distracted and forgot to file on time, but registered to run as a write-in. Bring your kids so they can vote and get an "I voted" sticker. We're in the Pavilion. See you there!

When a ballot arrives at our processing center, it then goes through a 5-step process before the result on the piece of paper shows up in a tabulation report on your screen.
This Primary, we posted results on Election Day from 43,862 ballots received in the days and weeks before that day. Each ballot must go through the steps outlined in this illustration, and depending on the volume it can take a few days to get a full picture.
By Thursday we posted results from 16,835 more ballots. We expect to process approximately 19,000 more, which means about 45 percent of the ballots in this Primary were deposited on the Monday before or on Election Day.
We will be working through Saturday in hopes of getting you as complete a picture of the election as we have. Find updated Kitsap results at kitsap.gov/elections. For full results on the 26th and 35th Legislative District and for the Supreme Court seats, go to results.votewa.gov.
