We want to make you aware of a dangerous trend circulating on TikTok that encourages students to tamper with electronic devices by inserting metal objects (like paper clips or foil) into USB ports. This can cause the device to catch fire—posing serious safety risks to students and staff.

Please take a moment to talk with your student(s) about the dangers of participating in these types of challenges. Not only is this behavior extremely unsafe, but it can also lead to criminal charges like vandalism or arson.

We appreciate your help in reminding students to make safe, responsible choices—especially when it comes to things they see online. Their safety, and the safety of others, comes first.

📅 Calendar Update: Last Day of School Extended
South Kitsap Families, due to snow closures and districtwide power outages in February, the last day of school is now Monday, June 23 to meet state instructional requirements. While the district applied for a waiver to forgive the missed days, it was denied by the state, requiring us to adjust the calendar.
Discovery’s Graduation will still be June 9th
